Crow's Feet

Often referred to as “laugh lines”, these inevitable signs of aging begin to appear at the outside corners of the eyes due to a loss of collagen surrounding the muscle of the eye. Caused by repeated movements associated with smiling, laughing and squinting, avoiding the onset of crow’s feet is near impossible. Thankfully, the careful administration of neuromodulators such as Botox can relax the muscles around the eyes, giving you a naturally youthful look while preventing the contraction of the muscles to show or deepen the lines.

Décolletage

The upper part of the torso, comprising the neck, shoulders, back and upper chest, is called the décolletage. The skin in this area is fragile and produces less oil than the face, yet often receives more sun exposure. Neglecting to properly care for the décolletage can lead to the skin aging prematurely. Treatments such as IPL and Sculptra injections are ideal for correcting issues of sun damage or volume loss in the area.

Glabella

The Glabella is the flat space between the eyebrows and above the nose. Wrinkles in this area appear are short vertical lines that extend from the eyebrow up towards the forehead.

Love Handles

Love handles are the fat deposits that sit on the side of the waist, above the hips. They are commonly one of the most difficult areas of fat to lose, and can stick around even with proper diet and exercise. SculpSure is a great spot treatment for stubborn areas of fat like love handles or the lower abdomen- eliminating fat with no downtime and no side effects.

Marionette Lines

Marionette lines are the vertical lines that extend from the outer corners of the mouth down to the jawline. These lines can begin to appear with age due to a loss of elasticity in the skin, the loss of fat around the mouth, or simply genetics. Both dermal fillers and laser treatments can help with smoothing out these lines and prevent them from deepening further.

Melasma

Melasma presents as patches of brown or grey pigmentation typically on the face. The most common areas to see melasma are on the cheeks and forehead. Because the condition is hormone driven, it is common for women to develop the condition during pregnancy.

Mid-Face

The area of the face composed of the nasal, maxillary and zygomatic bones and the tissue that covers these structures. Often the mid-face is one of the first areas of the face to show signs of aging.

Nasolabial Folds

Nasolabial folds are the two vertical lines that run from each side of the nose down to the corners of the mouth. They separate the cheeks and upper lip, and can become much more prominent as the facial muscles weaken with age. Dermal fillers are a great way to smooth out these crevasses while maintaining mobility and expression in the area.

Rhinophyma

Rhinophyma is a severe subtype of rosacea that causes the nose to become enlarged, inflamed and red. The condition is most common in men between the ages of 30-50, and can be treated through a series of laser treatments at LACCS.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a skin condition that causes blood vessels in the face to enlarge , giving the skin a red flushed appearance. Rosacea is most common on the cheeks and nose, and has various subtypes. Depending on the subtype of rosacea, symptoms can include small pus filled bumps and flare ups can last for months at a time. While the cause of the condition isn’t clear, rosacea can be treated with several of our laser services at LACCS.

Submental Fat

Submental fat, more commonly referred to as a double chin, is a collection of fat cells that sit below the chin. Submental fat is often caused by a combination of genetics and age. Kybella or Ultherapy may be a solution for submental fullness depending on the individuals specific concerns.
