Preoperatively: Patient is seen here with evidence of pseudoherniation of lower eyelid fat giving a baggy appearance to the eyes. Consequently this fat can also stain the overlying skin giving a dark appearance to the lower eyelids.
Postoperatively: Patient can be seen here with improvement of the lower lid/cheek junction and less bagginess of the lower eyelids. She will need hydroquinone and laser treatments to help with the pigmentation of the lower eyelids from the fat which had herniated preoperatively, however she already has improvement with the aspect of her 6 week postoperative blepharoplasty result.
