Preoperatively: Patient can be seen with significant ptosis of bilateral breasts. She has been suffering from significant pain in her breasts (breast implants over 20 years old) with hardness present as well. This is called capsular contracture and her situation was indeed severe. She underwent a “lollipop” mastopexy or breast lift.
Postoperatively: Patient can be seen approximately 3 months post surgery. She is very happy with her results. We removed her implants, cleaned the entire pocket and removed all calcium (capsulectomy) that has developed and then performed the breast lift. Over the next 9 months we will continue to do laser treatments and scar gels to help to minimize the final results of the scar.
